Terms & Conditions

1. Information published by Paw Justice Charitable Trust (“Paw Justice”) at www.patchupyourpet.co.nz on how to enter forms part of these terms and conditions of entry.

2. The competition is open to all New Zealand residents excluding employees of Paw Justice, their immediate family members and any of Paw Justice’s agencies, and companies associated with this competition.

3. Entry to the competition is automatically achieved by going to www.patchupyourpet.co.nz and registering your details and the individual number of your Patch Up Your Pet tag to your pet.   Entries must be made in the manner and by the closing date as specified at www.patchupyourpet.co.nz. Failure to do so will disqualify entry.

4. Entrants can register one pet per tag only.  Multiple registrations by one entrant are allowed, but each registration must be for a separate tag for each separate pet. 

5. Only completed registrations will be entered into the prize draw.

6. Proof of completing the online form, posting or emailing cannot be accepted as proof of delivery. Paw Justice cannot accept responsibility for any entries that are not received prior to the closing date for any reason or cause outside of its control.   No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries.

7. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. Paw Justice accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value.  Paw Justice reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time. Conditions of specific prizes are as follows”
(a)        Prizes of pet food will be delivered monthly for a period of one year
(b)        The $1000.00 prize of veterinary services is for the supply of veterinary services only, and is not redeemable for products or cash   The prize remains valid until $1000.00 worth of veterinary services has been used by the winner.
(c)        Standard terms and conditions for all Pet Protect insurance policies apply to the policy to be won in this competition.  Those terms and conditions are available at www.petprotect.co.nz

8. Additional expenses such as car rental, accommodation, spending money, meals, beverages, airport taxes, phone calls, insurances and all other ancillary costs are not included in any prize package and are the responsibility of the winner.

9 Additional eligibility requirements may apply to a specific prize, eg a valid driver’s licence will be required if the prize includes any event which involves driving, or car hire.  Winners will be notified where this applies. 

10. To the full extent permitted by law, Paw Justice will not be liable to the winner in respect of any claim for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever (including, without limitation, any consequential, indirect, special, punitive or incidental damages) or for any physical or mental injury suffered by the winner or friend as a result of or in connection with the competition or by reason of the utilisation or application of any prize won in the competition, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

11. Paw Justice has the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions.  If this does happen to a winning entrant, a replacement winner will be selected using the same criteria.

12. All entrants agree that their names, photographs, audiovisual recordings and biographical details in respect of the Patch Up Your Pet promotion and competition may be used for publicity purposes in all media by Paw Justice, and entrants agree that they must make themselves available for this purpose.

13. Winning entrants agree that they will, if requested by Paw Justice, appear in a “trailer” or other advertisement designed to promote Paw Justice and the Patch Up Your Pet campaign.

14. Where the prize is a trip, entrants agree that the winning entrant will make themselves available on request for the recording of all parts of the trip, that the recording may be edited at the discretion of Paw Justice and that Paw Justice may transmit and authorise the transmission of the edited recording, together with the photographs and biographical material, for any purpose and by any means through the world in perpetuity.

15. Prize winners will be notified in the manner and within the time specified at www.patchupyourpet.co.nz.  Return of any prize notification as undeliverable or failure to reply as specified in the notification within the time stated therein may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.  If more than one prize is awarded only one prize per entrant will be awarded.

16. Claims for prizes must be made in the manner and within the time specified at www.patchupyourpet.co.nz.  Failure to claim a prize within this time or in the manner specified may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

17. Paw Justice's decisions on all matters regarding the competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Paw Justice reserves the right to extend, change or terminate this competition at any time.

18. By entering the competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, correct and complete.

Paw Justice values your privacy.  Under the “Patch Up Your Pet” campaign and associated competition, your private information will be collected and held by Paw Justice Charitable Trust (“Paw Justice”), PO Box 74415 Market Rd, Remuera, Auckland, 1052.  Due to the nature of the “Patch Up Your Pet” campaign, your information will be held by Paw Justice beyond the completion of the competition.  Paw Justice will not disclose your information to any third party, except in the case where specific consent has been given in the event of a lost or found pet.  You have the right to access and correct your own personal information held by Paw Justice at any time.
